![]() ![]() As pointed out, cleaning comes from the amount or VOLUME of water you use (hot or cold ). I don't understand why someone would want more then 1200 psi for cleaning equipment ? All more pressure does is wreck stuff ( decals, graphix, seals around doors, windows and bearings, etc, etc ). Machine listed below is capable of higher pressure but guy said wand would be really tiring to hold on it with higher so he said he normally turns them down, as a bonus pump will last longer also. Like the guy told me psi is cheap and easy to make, lots of GPM thru a hot water washer is what costs money, a big psi number also has a WOW factor to it for selling. We have a wand that can adjust pressure and we run lower pressure more often than not. I would rather have the higher gpm like you currently are using. I've turned down the pressure on Dad's to 3200 psi, but Dad's is the one that gets used, consistently. If your not careful with high pressure you can tear paint, decals off too. Now that cleaned the machine off and the dirt just dropped down. I then tried a 3000psi/4gpm machine but the dealer said to try a bigger tip that kept the gallons up but lowered the psi down to 2000psi. I was cleaning the machinery 3-4 times over and over. All it did was chase dirt off one place and plaster it on other places. I always thought higher pressure would clean better. I doubt you'll notice much difference in 1 GPM. Hot water just cleans a lot better than cold. I know most will saw that GPM is key, but will that 1.0 gpm make that much difference?
